The Finger Lakes in Upstate New York are my happy place, a source of peace, perspective, and ease. After a difficult month, a weekend spent on the water with my family reminded me of the power of small glimmers - sunlight sparkling on the lake, the stillness of the water, and the captivating sunsets that bring everyone together. When my camera couldn’t capture the ethereal moon hiding in the clouds, I knew I had to paint the scene to preserve the feeling instead. This piece is a reminder to slow down, find beauty in the present, and embrace the places and moments that bring us back to ourselves.
